Water filter taps (sometimes referred to as 3-way or triflow taps) are kitchen taps that have a water filter built into them. The filter is usually fitted in a cupboard underneath the kitchen sink so they are out of sight.
People are often put off drinking water straight from the tap because of the taste and odour of the water. A water filter tap filters out metals, lime and chlorine that are found in tap water, removing unpleasant taste and odours.
Water filter taps are far more convenient than jug filters which take up room in your fridge and have a small capacity.
With a water filter tap, refreshing, clean filtered water is available to you at the push of a handle from a single spout. Simply push the cold handle backwards for filtered water and forwards for your usual domestic water supply.
Did you know that it takes 7 litres of water to produce 1 litre of bottled mineral water?
Replacing your kitchen tap with a water filter tap is also environmentally friendly, reducing the amount of plastic mineral water bottles you buy.
